The UNFCCC has emphasized that climate technology transfer and deployment are vital for achieving emissions reductions and enhancing resilience in developing countries. Through its Technology Mechanism, which includes the Technology Executive Committee (TEC) and the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), the UNFCCC is fostering international cooperation and technical assistance to ramp up technology-based climate solutions. 

The Technology Lab, held under the theme “Climate Technologies and Innovation: Understanding Needs and Gaps for Moving from NDC Ambition to Action,” raised awareness about proven climate technology solutions that can help accelerate adaptation and mitigation across regions, identifying the steps needed for implementation.
