The Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) will hold its 34th National Conference and 35th Annual General Meeting in Abuja from October 20 to 25, 2025, to mark its 40th anniversary. The conference theme is “Sustainable Cities: The Place of Environmental Management and Social Justice,” and will gather experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to tackle environmental challenges. The event will feature technical paper presentations, exhibitions, policy discussions, and networking opportunities, with Sarah Mukherjee MBE, CEO of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals, delivering the keynote address. The NES will also use the conference to launch a new African Environmental Society and a 40th-anniversary compendium, while reaffirming its commitment to building a sustainable future.
