The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has launched a comprehensive campaign in Rivers State and 11 other Nigerian states ahead of a forecasted season of severe flooding by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMeT). The effort includes early-warning dissemination, vulnerability mapping, stakeholder engagement, and pre-positioning of relief supplies, as well as desilting drainage and testing critical infrastructure.
