Hyacinth-AliaThe Benue State House of Assembly has called on the state government to urgently intervene in the worsening gully erosion in Adum community, Otukpa District (Ogbadibo LGA), which has devastated farmland, cut off the area from healthcare, schools, and markets, and forced locals to take much longer detours for basic needs.

The legislature passed a motion urging the Ministry of Works to grade Adum road and restore access, and directed the Commissioner for Water Resources and Environment to carry out an on-the-spot assessment, coordinating with relevant bodies to find sustainable solutions before the erosion worsens further.
