Osun State governmentOsun State, Nigeria, hosted a two-day training program called the Imole Circular Economy and Waste to Wealth Training on August 13-14, 2025. The event was organized by the Office of the Consultant to the State Governor on Climate and Renewable Energy and aimed to promote sustainable practices and create economic opportunities through innovative waste management.

The program, which was held at the SDC Hall in Osogbo, included theoretical instruction on topics like waste-to-wealth business opportunities and recycling techniques, followed by a practical site tour of a Recycling Hub. The training was designed for a wide range of participants, including youth leaders, policymakers, and waste management professionals, and equipped them with skills to launch their own eco-friendly projects, aligning with the state’s goals of reducing waste and encouraging green entrepreneurship.
