The World Bank Group has formally become a co‑chair of the Mobilizing Access to the Digital Economy (MADE) Alliance: Africa, joining the African Development Bank Group and Mastercard to expand digital access for 100 million individuals and businesses across Africa by 2034. The alliance aims to deliver secure, affordable, high‑quality broadband and ensure interoperable digital services.
